Dr. Susan Lim - Singapore's Spirit Of The Century
Susan Lim is not new to receiving special recognition. From primary school on she has received numerous awards for her achievements. Her commitment to excellence in surgery and research, while maintaining a compassion for others earned her the honor of being recognized as Singapore's Spirit of the Century. Through this honor she was set as the example of the type of spirit those in Singapore should strive for. Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques - Dr. Susan Lim
A contributing factor to receiving the award was the establishment of the Susan Lim Group Surgical Practice. Through this practice, the team of surgeons working with Dr. Susan Lim have developed new surgical techniques using robotics and a new procedure called NOTES, or Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery.
